1950's Zippo Lighter Brooklyn Masonic Fraternal Order Beehive Skep Symbol and Brooklyn dutch motto "Eendracht Makt Macht" $45.00

Such a cool and rare item. A 1950's Zippo Lighter depicting a Dutch Beehive or Skep and the original Brooklyn motto: "Eeendracht Makt Macht" trasnlated as "Unity Makes Strength". Stamped B.L.L. Brooklyn. I cannot find reference to what "B.L.L" stands for. (Any enlightenment will be appreciated and rewarded with a discount!)
The Skep or woven beehive is a classic symbol of the Free Masons and represents the Artisans, Industry, and cooperation.

There are 12 bees depicted around the Skep. Twelve being composed of the mystical numbers 7+5 or of 3X4, the triad multiplied by the quaternion, was a number of considerable value in ancient systems.

I have not replaced the flint or fluid to test it. The lid does not click as it should and I have not tried to do any repairs to date.

The lighter shows obvious use and wear and lived many years in the pocket of its original owner.
